As this year’s Family Rosary Crusade neared its end, Rev. Fr. Virgilio Ramos on Tuesday emphasized that there is a reason why Catholic Christians have an undying devotion to the Queen of the Holy Rosary.

This devotion to the Queen of the Holy Rosary, he said, started during the time when Turkish heresies were threatening to conquer Christianity, and that is when Pope Pius X called for the Christian Kings to use their power and rally the faithful together as they fought for victory in their islands.

Praying the Holy Rosary together unified in their cause, that is, to fight false beliefs.

As a result of the relentless prayer of the religious, the Christian armies emerged victorious from war, thus establishing the foundation of the devotion to the Queen of the Holy Rosary.

Rev. Fr. Ramos also mentioned in his homily that the lives of Catholics are empty without devotion to the Rosary.

“Nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa”.

In addition, he emphasized that without actions, prayers would not result in anything.

He also pointed out that while the devotion to Mary and the holy rosary deepens, it is essential to demonstrate our commitment through actions alongside our prayers.

Prayers and devotion to the rosary should guide the faithful and religious people as they perform their roles.

Day 7’s mass presider concluded his homily with the preaching that Christian Catholics should be a model to their fellow men, an “angel” that young adults and children can follow, reminding people of their roles as they stand unified against false teachings.
