Rev Fr. Pascual: Praying the Rosary is a hotline to God

by Rhyza Noreen Santos and Bea Valenzuela

Never get tired of praying the Holy Rosary.

On the fourth day of the 28th Family Rosary Crusade, Rev. Fr. Bernard Pascual of the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Meycauayan left a reminder about the value of prayer was left for everyone.

Rev. Fr. Pascual explained what the terms "communion," "participation," and "mission" meant.

"It is true that Mary is the light of communication," he said.

He also emphasized that partaking in the communion leads the faithful to be as one, for communion helps them to see the importance of unity together with their family and their fellow Dominicans.

Moreover, he then emphasized an encouraging word about our participation in praying and said that even the smallest things that we do partake us in building the kingdom of God.

The mass presider compared Dominicans' participation to the classroom setup, where teachers ask students to participate.

He also said that in the kingdom of God, a child is the greatest and that God wants the faithful to be like a little child who is honest and trusts in God.

The priest further asserted that little things count as long as Dominicans are acting in God's love; else, it is juvenile.

Also, the importance of mission was underscored.

"Bilang mga anak [ng Diyos], when we were baptized, ibinigay na sa ating 'yung mission."

He said that being a Dominican would help the faithful to learn the significance of prayer and attending church, and that it is our mission to be fulfilled for the rest of our lives.

Finally, he left the attendees with a message that praying the rosary is a hotline to God and, as Dominicans, the faithful should still continue to pray the Holy Rosary and make it a part of their lives.
