“Ano man ang ating pinagdadaanan, hindi tayo pababayaan ng Mahal na Birhen” (In whatever we are going through, the Blessed Mother will not forsake us).
Rev. Fr. Napoleon Baltazar of Sta Rita de Cascia Parish, Angat, Bulacan shared this lesson October 05, Wednesday, among the faithful as St. Dominic Academy of Pulilan celebrated the 8th day of the Novena and Family Rosary Crusade which coincides with the Feast day of St. Faustina, a saint who devoted her life to Mary, the immaculate, by praying the Holy Rosary.
St. Faustina lived her life in a simple room till one day, Jesus, the Divine Mercy has chosen St. Faustina to tell His people to bring back their hearts to the Lord, pray to the Lord, forgive, and be a way for the Lord's forgiveness.
Many people failed to believe her when she wrote the 700–paged message of the Lord informally because she just finished Grade 3. Not until St. John Paul II became the archbishop of Poland and opened her case again and proved that all her writings were true.
Fr. Baltazar shared his experience when he visited the room of St. Faustina in Poland. He said that upon entering the room of the saint, he felt the presence of God which shows that St. Faustina did live her life in a sense of holiness.
Father continued his homily saying that two years from now, because St. John Paul II added the mysteries of Light, the Catholic Church will celebrate Jubilee 2025 with the theme "Pilgrims of Hope".
Like Mary, the faithful is urged to be the light for themselves and for others whenever someone goes through their own dark experiences. They should be the hope for someone who is hopeless.
He ended his homily reminding Dominicans that whenever they pray the rosary, they pray with Mary not to Mary because through the Holy Rosary, they may always remember how Jesus saved all people when he died on the cross.#
