Fr. Brion Jr. encourages Dominicans to realize their talk, do what they preach on FRC's day 5

During the fifth day of the Family Rosary Crusade, October 1, Sunday, Fr. Renato Brion pointed out that actions speak louder than words; that in order to convince somebody, actions must accompany words or they will amount to nothing.

“It is never too late [to renew oneself], we can always repent, we can always mend our faulty ways, we can always change our minds” Rev. Fr. Brion said.

This statement tells the faithful that those who choose to repent are welcomed to God’s loving embrace regardless of how much time has passed.

God has never turned His back on His people and His children, and it is only the faithful that needs to return to His presence and grace.

The gospel “gives us hope because we can’t always be branded by the things we did in the past”.

Following Fr. Brion’s statement, it does not matter how people respond initially but rather, how they respond to the faulty things that need repentance.

Life happens with such inconsistencies; However, these inconsistencies and hindrances would not stand against steadfast devotion and a mighty will to carry God’s love in one’s heart.

It is important to integrate one’s words with his/her actions and be true to his/her commitments. The faithful must always seek God and Jesus as guidance towards the right path.

Fr. Brion ended his sermon with the lesson that it is never too late to have a change of heart and of mind; you can still repent for your sins. After all, our God is an all-loving God.
