SDA’s 29th Family Rosary Crusade coincides with the celebration of the feast of the Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, and Rafael with Rev. Fr. Manuel Anastacio leading the mass last Friday, September 29, 2023.

This is Fr. Anastacio’s first post-pandemic FRC mass in SDA after five years.

The priest emphasized main points in his homily:

“Two main points: One, Link [or] Connection. Two, Remember the goodness of the Lord.”

Fr. Anastacio focused on how Jesus became the link connecting the Old and New Testaments.

In the New Testament, Jesus recalls the events from the Old Testament.

Fr. Anastacio also stated that Mary, Mother of Christ, acts as the bridge between the people and Jesus.

“Ang banal na misa ay pag-alaala kay Jesus”, the mass presider said.

[Jesus is remembered in every Holy Mass.]

He continued telling the faithful that the Eucharist itself is the remembering of Jesus.

Moving further, he stated that gratitude is the key to happiness.

“Grateful people are happy people,” he said.

Fr. Anastacio asked the Dominicans if they are using Facebook’s Messenger and called on the faithful that they can use modern technology to relay the gospel to the younger generation.

He explained that to be an angel is to be a messenger.

"When you send the good news, you become an angel." Fr. Anastacio said.

He emphasized that everyone can be an angel even in small ways such as spreading the Word of the Lord and introducing Him to other people’s lives.

Fr. Anastacio encouraged the Dominicans to be a good angel. The Dominicans, who started the traditional FRC, should always be a link between God and the people.

Ending his homily, the mass presider told the Dominicans to never forget God’s profound love for us.

"Alalahanin mong napakabuti ng Diyos sa iyo" [You remember that God is so good to you].
