As Dominican community gathered for the 9th day of the Family Rosary Crusade (FRC), Rev. Fr. Christian B. Beunafe, O.Carm. reflected on the Gospel from Luke 10:25–37, which tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan. The Gospel reminded the faithful about the importance of goodness, compassion, and helping those who are in need.
This parable tells of a Samaritan who helped a person in need despite the differences between them. Through the Gospel, Rev. Fr. Buenafe, O. CARM reminded the faithful that being good is not only about knowing what is right and wrong, but also about choosing to do what is right and putting love into action.
The message of the Good Samaritan can be practiced in everyday life, especially in family, school, and friendships. Helping someone who is struggling, showing kindness to others, and being there for those in need are simple ways of putting faith into action. As Dominicans, the faithful is also called to help those in need and make our love for God visible through love of neighbors.
Today's mass presider also emphasized the importance of family values. The kindness, love, and values learned inside the family should not remain only at home. They should also be brought into school and the community. In this way, families can become a source of goodness that reaches beyond their own homes.
Also, the homily reminded the students that they are not only the future, but the present. They already have the ability to make a difference in the lives of others. Studying is also a blessing, especially because parents work hard to provide their children with an education. Because of this, students are encouraged to take their studies seriously and remain grateful for the opportunities they have.

The celebration was also connected with the theme, “With Mary, United in Prayer, Journeying Towards Renewal, Welcoming New Horizons, and Charting a Constellation of Hope” where Fr. Buenafe reminded the faithful that they can continue this journey because the Lord is with them, together with Mary.
Through prayer, faith, and acts of kindness, they can bring hope to others.
The Family Rosary Crusade is not simply an activity or an event. It is an experience that brings families together through prayer and strengthens their relationship with God and one another. The celebration encourages families to live out their faith not only during Mass, but also in their everyday lives.
Through the Mass, the Dominican community was reminded that loving God also means loving our neighbors through our actions. Like the Good Samaritan, we are called to recognize those who need help and respond with kindness. By being grateful, taking our responsibilities seriously, and becoming a blessing to others, we can make our faith meaningful in the way we live each day.#
